The University of Nigeria Demonstration Secondary School was established more than a decade ago by the former National Institute for Nigerian Languages as NINLAN Demonstration Secondary School. It became a member of the University of Nigeria Staff School system in July 2007 following the take over of NINLAN by the University of Nigeria. It is one of the foremost private secondary schools in Abia State, Nigeria. As a co-educational institution, it prepares students for Junior School Certificate Examination (JSCE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The students of this institution sit for School Certificate Examinations conducted annually by both the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO). The school has a student population of about one thousand (1000) students, and still growing. It has over fifty (50) graduate and professional teachers as well as other non teaching staff.
