The University of Nigeria Nursery & Primary Schools became operational in November 2004/2005 academic year under the name NINLAN Nursery & Primary Schools. It became University of Nigeria Nursery and Primary Schools in July 2007 following the take over of NINLAN by the University of Nigeria. The objectives are primarily to: Ǽ take care of staff children of school age Ǽ minimize man-hour losses due to school runs Ǽ produce prospective candidates for UNDSS Ǽ provide a base for teaching practice for student-teachers of Nigerian Languages Ǽ provide good quality education for its immediate environment The school had pupil population of one hundred and fifty (150) at inception in 2004/2005 academic year. At the moment, it has over four hundred pupils and the population growth is continuous. It is located at the City Campus of the Institute.
